A Wedding of Every Color

A Wedding of Every Color

As the non-traditional bride to be,
I want a wedding that suits, well...me!
A color I love and a groom to match,
My guests will know I'm quite the catchy
This color makes for quite the ride
For a beautiful wedding - and a prettier bride!
So welcome to my perfect day
If my color could speak, this is what it would say:

Red is for passion, love and romance
Orange is for artistry, whimsy and dance
Yellow is bright and warm like the sun
Green is for youthfulness, also for fun
Teal is for fashion and beauty galore
Blue is for wisdom and those I adore
Violet is mystery, a real work of art
Pink is a loving and generous heart

A color can say quite a bit about me
Which color will I choose? Just wait and see!

Red Velvet Cake
A decadent bride is the icing on the cake!

Your Inspiration: Red Velvet Cake!

Can a confection be elegant? Evidently so! The red velvet cake is a beautiful, delicious cake. Something as unique as a bright red center that tastes like chocolate has to inspire this wedding, because it reflects you - lovely on the outside, and rich on the inside. This wedding build is for people with exquisite taste inside and out.

Wear your dress the same way you'd eat a cake - make the topping attractive, but relish the moment! Since it's a wedding, take advantage of the classic wedding-style bottom. And never underestimate the power of layers! Layering a red dress is a decadent touch. The angle of the white atop the red will give your figure the emphasis that you want. For example, this naturally thin model employs white around the waist (along with a layered bottom) to outline her hips.

"Never underestimate the power of layers!"

A red ring makes a bold statement. Rubies and garnets are powerful gems. Hearts, flowers and shapes with curves make for a beautiful, feminine ring. And red always goes well with silver bands and diamonds for a more traditional touch.

Red is a choice color for your bridesmaids, emphasizing their beauty without distracting from the bride. Material like silk is a good option for bridesmaids because it will keep their dress style simple, but still look pretty and elegant. This will keep your bridesmaids looking fresh while you still get all the attention a bride deserves!

An elegant cake is going to top off your wedding. The whiter the better, because it's going to contrast with the red marvelously. The best part is that the wedding theme, red velvet, is also the cake! When people ask what inspired you to create such a unique and bold red wedding, you can give them a taste of the cake and say, "this!"

Red is such a wonderful wedding color - there are a ton of shopping options and it's easy to make red look fancy. Keep in mind that red is a highlight color; choose white as your base (like the tablecloth, furniture, dishes, etc) and top it off with red flowers or menus so that the red isn't overwhelming. In this case, ceramic is a terrific choice.

Roses and calla lilies maintain the illusion of velvet. Their soft textures merge well together, and they're both hallmark romance flowers that everybody loves. Just make sure your white filler has enough green so that it keeps a natural contrast and doesn't look too stagnant; white and red without green ends up looking dull.

Stripping down doesn't mean sacrificing your elegance. When you remove your dress at the end of the night, your spouse will be in awe when they see that your skivvies are just as smooth and flawless as your gown!

The Rebellious Wedding
Whoever said brides had to wear white obviously had no imagination!

Your Inspiration: Lydia (Winona Ryder)

You've always lived large...so why should your special day be any different! Keep three words in mind for the wedding: fun, daring and a little bit dark! Your wedding will be completely unforgettable and everyone will know it when they see that the bride is dressed to kill!

Whomever said that brides should wear white had no imagination. Time to rebel! Take that classic, wedding-style dress and make it your own. Turn that white into red and slap a black trim on for balance. A red dress with a few black accessories like gloves, a veil or gorgeous shoes will make everyone wonder why your groom so carelessly left his jaw on the floor.

"Whoever said brides had to wear white obviously had no imagination!"

A red ring is for the woman who likes to live boldly. If the bride thinks that diamonds are overrated, then get something that will bring out the individuality in a woman. Black stones against a red, metal base is a unique choice that looks much more classy than you'd expect.

Bridesmaids look great in red and black. Both colors can end up being classy or crazy, depending on which dress patterns, flowers and accessories you choose. For a spicier set of bridesmaids, don't be afraid of bold hairstyles and red lipstick. If your gals can walk in heels, use them. Black and red are good in layers and the color scheme can draw attention to the bride (especially if a traditional, white dress is used.)

One of the great things about working with red and black is that you can still use things like beautiful dresses and flowers without feeling too girly. You can easily make your cake reflect your personality, and fondant is a great way to color it the way you want. Little splashes of color (as opposed to a whole red cake) can really tie it together. And with colored fondant, you can have any flavor you want under there!

What should people expect at a bright, red wedding? That's up to you, but it's safe to say that they'll know it to be bold and amazing. Get creative with your decorations. The wedding above employed the classic Cinderella decoration - slippers. But these ones are black with studs. A decoration that's both unique and appealing!

Step 1: get red roses. Step 2: get some white filler. Step 3: get a crazy, black accessory (like feathers, pipe cleaners, black pearls, etc) and fill out the bouquet to make it fun and interesting. With roses and non-floral filler, it's easy to make the bouquet as unique as you'd like it to be...and as large or small as suits your needs!

The wedding is the beginning, but the evening is the perfect close...with fewer clothes! To maintain a fun and confident air, find some lingerie that you feel beautiful in. Choose something entertaining for you and your new husband - fringe, lace, bows, ruffles...keep it crazy!

Why should he choose red?

Red is a classic color for both genders. Splashes of red (like a red flower on a tuxedo) are a masculine and romantic symbol of love and passion. It's a very clean, neutral look that you can manipulate to suit your liking. Take this blue tie for example - red looks great on dark colors like forest or navy. It works with black and white as well if you want a more traditional tux. If you choose red, then you can choose a wardrobe that you like and manage to look devilishly handsome.

Glistening Gold
Extravagance meets eccentricity

Your Inspiration: Indian Architecture

This hotel is called the Raj Palace. Its beautiful orange and gold interior mixed with the unique rounded and peaked architecture will inspire a sense of royalty, extravagance and beauty unlike you've ever seen.

Finding an appealing, orange dress isn't an easy task - so think outside the traditional Western wedding realm and go for something a little more fun and Eastern. A dress like this maintains a sense of tradition with a positive twist of beauty and sense of royalty. Since this dress can go with gold, white or diamonds, it makes it ideal as a wedding dress to go along with the theme of your choice.

An orange wedding ring is something amazing. Not many people choose orange, yet it's a beautiful color that relays a sense of whimsy and happiness. Using gold, silver or diamonds along with the orange stones will help balance out its vibrancy.

For a bright and bold wedding, orange is a great color for your bridesmaids. It draws positive attention to them while still keeping the main focus on the bride. Gold, yellow and white accessories, like shoes or flowers, draw a positively-charged charm to your girls.

Orange cakes are fun cakes. A little bit of fondant and a few candied flowers can really brighten up your confection. But one of the most awesome things about orange cakes are the flavor. Carrot cakes, orange-vanilla...there are so many delicious possibilities! White and gold toppings, like coconut or nuts, are also a good addition to the flavor and decor.

After getting a base color, setting up the wedding theme with oranges and golds is easy. Since both colors go along way, you can top off a black or white table with a gold cloth and a few orange candles. Since these colors look good with brown, nature can always be incorporated. A few house plants or an outdoor ceremony with lots of trees would work beautifully. And any yellow lighting will positively brighten your colors.

"...any yellow lighting will positively brighten your colors."

In a theme with such rich colors, it will be easy to find filler flowers in white or off-white. Orange doesn't necessarily need to make up the bulk of the bouquet since the color can be overwhelming. Instead, try gathering some orange chrysanthemums and dotting the bouquet with white or pale yellow roses, along with smaller white flowers like daisies.

When it comes to lingerie, keep one word in mind: enchanting. Lace, beads, ribbon and embroidery will be your best friend on your wedding night. Continue the elegant and vivid scheme by dressing in something silky, rustic or metallic with designs to highlight the color and texture of the piece. Tonight is your night of passion...live it up!

Ostentatious Orange
Bright isn't bright enough!

Your Inspiration: Orange and Pink Roses!

This theme is for the bride insistent on having a girly wedding. The flowers, the poofy dress, the extravagant cake...you want it all. And why not? It's your day and you know it!

"It's your day and you know it!"

If you're planning on wearing an orange dress, remember that nobody will ever forget! Because the color makes such a statement by itself, try to find a mellow shape. The above dress has a classic shape for a wedding dress. It's a pretty dress that's form-fitting with a good matrimonial flare at the bottom, but it's not overwhelming. A good base for a bright color, to say the least.

You're the girl who still bakes cakes in her Easy Bake Oven. A pink ring (or a ring with pink and orange stones) is perfect for you because it captures your youth and fun-loving personality. And no one else will have a ring like it!

The beauty of bright bridesmaid dresses is that your girls look great, and you still get to stand out. A fun thing to do is entrust the bright orange and pink theme to your girls so that you can wear a white or pale orange dress. All the focus will be on you, and your gals will look great in the theme you picked!

Cake decorations are easy with these colors! Vibrant oranges and pinks look wonderful on top of white. These colors all contrast each other well. Any floral toppings are going to look great since these are natural flower colors. The simpler your cake, the more intricate cake decorations you can use. An entirely orange or hot pink cake may hog the spotlight, so keep white an option as your base. Flavors that are associated with these colors are orange, strawberry and vanilla. The vanilla can go with either fruit flavor and is typically well-loved!

Time to get to blending! Hints of pink will blend into an orange theme wonderfully. Glass and crystal ware are both beautiful options for setting your table. Since these colors are so vibrant, soften them up a little with some candles or yellow lighting. This will make it easier on the eyes of your guests. Any transparent table decorations will also soften these colors.

A bouquet is something orange and pink were meant for! Make a base of roses or chrysamthemums - large flowers that take up a lot of the room. These flowers are perfect because they come in orange, pink, and in orange and pink! The bouquet can then be filled out with larger, more bold flowers like tiger-lilies, or with smaller, more frivolous flowers like daisies or carnations. Adding about 1/3 white flowers to the bouquet will help make the orange and pink flowers stand out while keeping the entirety of the bouquet from being overwhelming.

This is one of the most fun and energetic builds - keep it up during your first evening as a married woman by purchasing some lingerie that's a blast in the bedroom! Don't just make it look pretty, make it fun to interact with! Get a top that comes undone in the front for a more hands-on experience that's fun for both of you!

"Don't just make it look pretty, make it fun to interact with!"

Why should he choose orange?

Orange is more classy than you'd expect - in moderation, of course! Black, white and gray all look great when they're splashed with tidbits of orange. Since orange is a dramatic color that can hog the spotlight, ties and handkerchiefs are excellent ways to add some colorful flair to a tux without being too cray. And since orange goes great with black, white or gray (along with dark colors like navy) then he can choose a unique tux that's perfect for him while still wearing orange for the theme.

The Honeysuckle Wedding
For the bride renowned for inspiring others to be as loyal and kindhearted as she.

Your Inspiration: Honeysuckle

Honeysuckle is a beautiful flower. The flower isn't known for having bright colors or giant petals - it's famous for its lovely, spring aroma. You want a beautiful wedding, but want to include more than outer beauty - you want the theme to reflect your personality, and the love you and your soon to be husband share for each other.

When you're thinking about your dress, think: wildflowers with a similarly colored center and petals. Layered dresses are great because you can put the pale yellow layers over or under off-whites, paler or darker yellows. This will allow for excellent customization of your dress.

You can generally find a yellow ring that is bright and feminine without being too overwhelming in color. Yellow looks very elegant on top of silver, or white gold. And with diamonds to accompany this brilliant color, you just can't miss!

Pale yellow is a choice color for a bridesmaid dress because having a traditional, white wedding dress upholds the color scheme perfectly. Your bridesmaids will look feminine and elegant while the main focus stays on the bride. And bridal white always looks beautiful against this shade of yellow.

A yellow cake is bound to be delicious! Fondant is perfect if you want the majority of the cake to be yellow, which if decorated with bits of white, looks fabulous. The colors, however, are interchangeable, and since both colors are light in scope, neither will look overwhelming no matter how much yellow or white you use. Vanilla is always a good choice for such a light color, although you can get a bit more creative with flavors like lemon, toffee or French vanilla!

With such light wedding colors, table decorations are going to look elegant and easy on the eyes! Traditional white dinnerware and tablecloths are easy to procure, and can be set up with virtually any decorations while still looking exquisite. Bunches of flowers, ribbons or other simple things will tie the table together. These colors are best when the ceremony involves natural daylight. Crystal ware and glassware also look good with this sort of yellow.

The theme may be honeysuckle, but you're going to want a more hearty flower to be the base of your bouquet. White and yellow roses are excellent choices and never go out of fashion. Since you want your wedding to mean something, roses are a good choice because they represent love and kindness. After you have your base, the rest of the bouquet can be filled in with daisies, traditional white filler, and even lace. And, of course, honeysuckle, for that beautiful Spring scent!

"...the rest of the bouquet can be filled in with...honeysuckle, for that beautiful Spring scent!"

The evening of the wedding is the perfect time to show your man how beautiful you really are. Pick a lovely gown. Choose something that you're comfortable in. A piece that comes with a robe is a classy choice, and leaves your guy guessing for a while.

The Electric Lemon Wedding
Zap! Pow! Bright colors for a beautiful bride, and text so bright you can't read this without a gray background! :D

Your Inspiration: Lemons!

This build isn't for the weak, and you might not be able to see straight for a few days after the wedding. You want a color so bright it will set off fire alarms, a color so bold that sporting good stores want to manufacture your dress into a more effective hunting vest.

"...a color so bright it will set off fire alarms..."

You've never been a scaredy cat when it comes to fashion. You were the girl in high school with the crazy hair - the one who wasn't afraid to mix insane patterns. Now, you're bringing the same bravery to your wedding. A simple dress with a classic style is great for bright, vibrant colors because it emphasizes just how wild the color is. A traditional dress style applies nicely to neons and true colors because there's no questioning where the focus of the dress is; clearly, the focus is the fact that it's bright freaking yellow!

If you've always been drawn to neon yellow, then a ring like this is perfect for you. You don't need traditional diamonds to feel classy. Entrust the wild child inside of you with your matrimonial accessories - when it comes to your ring, get something that you really enjoy looking at!

If your dress is white, then the bridesmaids can pull off the yellow theme. You'll still look great and your wedding will be just as bright and shocking as ever. Things like red lipstick or bright pink shoes look awesome with neon yellow, and simple white bouquets keep a good balance between all the bright colors around you.

Since your wedding is lemon-themed, then it stands to reason that you should have a lemon cake! Let your guests know it's lemon by ordering round or yellow designs on the white fondant. Or better yet, decorate the platter or top of the cake with actual lemons. Serve with lemonade, and voila!

Your table has the potential to look amazing with a few, simple decorations. First, get a white base to keep the yellow balanced. Then...balloons! Balloons everywhere! Next, set out treats to keep up the edible, sweet & sour theme. Candy is a great addition to your table. Try things like lemon balls or sugar cookies so that everyone gets a taste that they like. Glassware is great, but in this case, simple, white dishes look incredible and keep up the theme.

Putting together a good bouquet is going to be a little difficult for one reason: depending on the weather, certain flowers are going to be more in season than others. Yellow and white flowers are among the most common, but your wedding is so bright that you'll need to find the whitest of the whites and yellowest of the yellows. A good bet would be to take your favorite flowers -any flowers in the world- and spray-paint them neon yellow and white. This way, you get what you want and you don't have to worry about the flowers looking as bright as they are fresh. Also, you can add any fake filler you want, like lace or actual lemons!

The wedding was the start, but the night of your wedding is just the beginning of the fun! Find something that you can have a great time in. Try something bright, or a new fashion that'll leave your lover wanting more. Be brave on the night of your wedding, a night so fun and amazing that it will be hard to match!

Why should he choose yellow?

Yellow is a fantastic color for both genders. Because of its prevalence in nature, its a common color that looks good just about anywhere! Especially weddings! Yellow changes depending on how you wear it. If it's worn with a black tux, it will look brighter; with a white tux, it will look paler. And with a gray tux, it will look more sunny and warm. All of these are great choices, however. Yellow can also be worn with colors like navy, burgundy or dark green. It's a neutral color, and splashes of yellow are a charming option for any groom, especially for outdoor or brightly lit ceremonies.

The Dryad Wedding
Making whimsy and nature part of your unforgettable ceremony

Your Inspiration: White Cactus Blossoms

If you've always had a closeness to the earth and a fondness of nature, than you wouldn't want any other build. The Dryad Wedding takes the natural beauty of Mother Earth and employs it in a princess-like wedding style.

The first step to having a natural and beautiful wedding is finding a dress that you look great in. Make sure it's a fabric that you love - some websites offer dresses made of recycled fabric, or you can find a used dress. No matter what you do, though, don't settle. Pick a style you want in a color you want. In this case, the go-to color is bright green because it encompasses nature and looks fantastic with white.

If the earth and nature are an essential part of your relationship, then get a ring to show it. Many eco-friendly consumers try to avoid diamonds, so if that's a route you want to go, keep other stones in mind. Green stones are a good way to reflect beauty and nature together. The ring above is a great example of how you can take nature and make it into a more traditional wedding token. If you want to take it a step farther, you can get a natural ring made of materials such as wood or coral.

Think of the bridesmaids as your faeries or nymphs: little sprites there to help you feel like a princess! Green is such a wonderful color for bridesmaid dresses because bright green is warm, but since green is a "cool" color, it leaves all eyes on the bride. White and pink bouquets and accessories are perfect for that little splash of color your bridesmaids need.

"Think of your bridesmaids as your faeries or nymphs: little sprites there to help you feel like a princess!"

With bright green as your color, you can get really creative with your cake! Going the more traditional route may require fondant and green coloring. You can take this opportunity to use natural cake toppers, like grass around the platter. Little plastic butterflies look great, too, and you can add any natural colors while still having the cake look great! If you're vegan and did the wedding to be 100% green, you can get all soy-based products. Vanilla is a great choice for a cake like this, and you can spice it up by serving lime beverages.

Wedding decorations can get really fun with a green wedding. Firstly, you can use anything natural. Second, you can add any colors you want that are found in nature, and it will look fantastic! And third, no matter what colors you use, they'll look good against white and glassware. With this color of green, you can't miss!

Your bouquet should be as pretty as your dress since you want to incorporate the beautiful earth into your wedding. Really take the time to choose a flower that's close to your heart. No matter what you choose, it will look excellent with its natural, green leaves. White calla lilies or roses are a beautiful choice because they go with small, pink filler flowers very well. They look particularly good against the green you want for your wedding. These are very soft and elegant flowers, and their natural white is the perfect addition to your wedding.

No matter what you wear under your dress, make it surprising! One thing you can do is choose the color of your bouquet, like a white or pink, and wear the same colors under your dress. This can symbolize the blooming of a flower...and flowers can be very erotic and feminine things. This is also a good time to employ soft fabrics and pretty, floral patterns. You will surely look as beautiful as a flower on the night of your wedding!

A Wedding For The Elves
A bright, fantasy wedding that you could only dream of!

Your Inspiration: An Elven Princess!

Wood Elf by Aurelia-Isabella

If you're one for fantasy, then welcome to the perfect wedding build! Elves are known for their sense of mystery and beauty. It's time to take that and incorporate it into a bright and unforgettable wedding.

Your dress may end up being the most important aspect of your wedding, because you can't rule an elven kingdom without a leader! Since elves are known for their connection with nature, the color will be green. But not just any green - a true, royal green, or emerald green. This green will look good with black lace or velvet. Try something in a corset style. If your shoes and accessories have lace or string, they're sure to go with your dress. And don't forget a regal hairstyle!

Having a ring with emeralds or green stones really says something about the bride. It's a charming color, associated with wealth, prosperity and youth. It's also a fairly uncommon color for rings. Green looks great with gold or silver, so either band is going to be a good choice. With a silver band, however, employing the use of diamonds is more convenient to create an elegant charm.

The more white the dress, the more green the bridesmaids should be. Emerald is a unique and regal color. A bride wearing this color can be contrasted by bridesmaids wearing white, black or lighter green. However, if you're clad in a more traditional white, then focus the attention to your beautiful dress by having your gals wear the green. They'll look amazing in silk, velvet, lace or other rich fabrics, while you still get tons of positive attention.

Green makes for an interesting cake. The hardest part about a green cake is finding a flavor. The good news is that if you have fondant, you can do anything you want, and as it turns out, an easy way to get a green cake is with said fondant! So take advantage of this opportunity to have a custom cake. This is a good opportunity to get a very elegant cake that looks like it was made for royalty. Add some jewels or make your cake into a treasure chest; something you'd find in a throne room or at the heart of a dungeon!

"...if you have fondant, you can do anything you want..."

Green isn't the easiest color to shop for. But that's why they have lights! Using green lighting is a great idea, because you get to decorate however you want. You can get mostly white or black decor, and using green lights will make your entire venue look like the Emerald City! Because of the nature of the lights, this kind of wedding is best done indoors to capture the essence of this particular green.

You're going to have quite the unique bouquet, because flowers usually aren't green - foliage is! Take some of your favorite leaves. Leaves that look long, silky and elegant are perfect. Then, use white, pink or yellow flowers to fill out the bouquet. This way, you can use beautiful flowers and the added colors of your choice while still having a mostly green-themed bouquet.

Tonight is your night to shine. Choose some lingerie that you feel super confident in. But still make it elegant! Something lacy is perfect. Little green bows or fringe give your piece that unique touch. Black is always a good idea for lingerie like this, and looks excellent with emerald. This will really wow your new hubby! Forget being an elven princess, this will make you into an elven goddess!

Why should he choose green?

Green is a great color for your new hubby! Because green is a natural color, it's seen as gender-neutral. Some greens are more masculine than others. Typically, the darker the green, the more male-oriented it will be. If your guy doesn't want to do bright green, he'll look just as good in something darker without compromising the theme. (Generally, all greens look good together, like trees.) White and green look splendid together, and green on top of black is notoriously handsome. A traditional tux with green? Yes, please!

The Summer Sea Wedding
A gorgeous summer theme to go along with the sun, the beach and the sky!

Your Inspiration: Seashells, seashells, down by the shee...by the seesore...by the...agh!

The beach is a place that so many people find dear to them. Why not make it the theme for your wedding? Using beach colors is a great way to get creative and natural!

There are two types of dresses that can work for this build (although both are recommended to be sea-green or turquoise.) The first is a classic wedding-style dress with a top that hugs the torso and a bottom with flare. However, much like a mermaid or beautiful maiden of the sea, the dress should have transparent aspects. Note how the above dress is revealing, but the style allows the mesh to cover the chest and sleeves. A classy build with a modern and lovely twist. The alternative is a classic fishtail dress (the bottom hugging the legs like a pencil skirt and flaring out at the ankles or calves.)

As long as it's accompanied by a solid, gold band, a turquoise ring is going to look incredibly elegant. Turquoise is a unique choice for a wedding ring and doesn't distract from the diamond or gold band. Perfect for the woman who wants something as unique as it is sophisticated!

"Perfect for the woman who wants something as unique as it is sophisticated!"

A white dress with sea green or tuquoise colored bridesmaids is a home run! Throw in some colors like beige or coral and a few sunflowers, and your girls are going to look unbelievably beautiful. Because this is such a bright, summer build, an outdoor wedding and photos are a good idea.

Break out that fondant! Sea green, turquoise, teal...not the first color you'd think of when it comes to a wedding cake. If you want your cake to be mostly the blue-green of your choice, then keep the cake simple. A few white or sea-oriented decorations will make the simple, greenish cake pop without looking crazy. However, the lighter the cake, the more you can do. A coral or beige colored cake would call for more greenish or blueish decorations. Don't be afraid to add some seashells or cute decorations!

Most colors go well with glassware or crystalware, but this is a unique build for a unique bride: it's time to bust out the china. Something gilded, coral or porcelain is perfect. Anything that is ceramic will be a beautiful addition to your table. Along with lightly colored cloth, add some lace. Pink is also a wonderful color, and splashes of lighter green or darker blue will make your true theme color pop. Natural, outdoor lighting is best with this build.

This bouquet is brought to you by the handy-dandy glue gun! Since this is a summer wedding, choose a flower you like, make it fake, and it won't wilt in the bright sunshine of your outdoor wedding! The fun part about this bouquet is adding the accessories. This is a sea wedding - so why not add some seashells! Tie everything together with fake filler flower, feathers or pearls.

You know the scene in The Little Mermaid where Ariel flings her hair back and perches on top of that rock in the sea? Think of that when you're choosing your lingerie. Beautiful, confident, sophisticated, fun. That's your game tonight! Get a top that really shows off your high-end assets, and a bottom that squeezes your hips. These are natural features that your guy is going to love once he sees you on your wedding night!

"Beautiful, confident, sophisticated, fun. That's your game tonight!"

Black-And-White And Blue-All Over
Classic black-and-white with a modern twist!

Your Inspiration: Teal on Black! Beautiful!

Teal on black became a popular color combination during the start of the 21st century. It works in a lot of different pop culture cliques. It can be a girly color, a nerdy color, punky, trendy, hip...it works just about anywhere! This is a rather modern color combo (not that it's unheard of) and makes for a spectacular, cool wedding.

Teal is best worn femininely and elegantly. Try aiming for silk when you choose the material for your dress, although lace is also a plus. Mesh is a good addition to a teal dress, especially when that mesh is black. Intricate details, like the black flowers and feathers on the dress above, are essential with this color combo because teal is such a cool, stagnant color. A bit of black to spice things up makes for gorgeous designs. Black and teal are also reversible colors; teal on black, black on teal...both work just as well!

The ring you're looking for is probably going to be a bluer turquoise. To stray away from the more classic turquoise style, go with the silver (or white gold or platinum) band instead of a more common gold band. Also, scratch the diamonds and get a big, turquoise stone! Jade is also a good substitute. You can get a ring with these rocks without the need for diamonds and still make the ring just as intricate.

Teal and black are fantastic colors for bridesmaid dresses because they're cool colors. Cool colors, when accompanying a white wedding dress, are fantasmic! All eyes remained focused on the bride. Your gals will still look great, too, sporting a classy and chic look unlike any other.

Teal and black are very clean colors. For your cake, simple is best. A thin layer of crisply cut fondant is good for unique cake colors like black or teal. Using white will balance out the heaviness of the colors. As seen above, the black is on the bottom of each tier. Leaving the white on top (cut off by that cool teal strip) is the perfect choice because the cake doesn't look too top-heavy and still maintains the thematic colors.

The wedding band is silver, and black and teal are the dominant colors, but believe it or not, your venue is going to look best in yellow, indoor lighting. The reason for this is because black and teal don't sit well against trees. They're very royal colors, therefore, look better indoors. Notice the bricks in the walls - like a castle. This works with the elegant, silk-like theme. The yellow lighting looks good because the color set is very cold; yellow lights will brighten the entire place up and contrast well against your theme colors without making them look any colder. Now, your venue will look warm and inviting. As far as tableware goes, crystal is gorgeous, although white is a good addition to black and teal.

Teal isn't really a color for flowers, so it's time to employ fake material. Of course, you can always start with a real-flower base. The more neutral the color of the base flower, the crazier you can get with decorations and filler. White roses are perfect, because you can use things like black lace, beads, or teal ribbon to decorate the rest of the bouquet with. A black holster and white flowers will make sure your bouquet doesn't look top-heavy, which can be a concern with black weddings.

"The more neutral the color of the base flower, the crazier you can get with decorations and filler."

Lace is going to be your best friend tonight. Since these colors are so elegant, use that to your advantage. Lingerie like this is perfect because it's revealing, but still leaves something to be desired. It has a sense of mystery to it. A piece like this will inspire a passionate night and lots of skin-to-skin contact!

Why should he choose blue-green?

Blue/green colors are the perfect gender neutral colors. Which gender they suit all depends on the style of the piece and not so much the color. Because this is the case, men can pull off the color just as well as any woman. While a woman is going to look just as elegant as she would in pink if she uses a bit of lace and has the right slit, a man is going to look devilishly handsome in a black tuxedo and teal tie. Blues and greens go well with black and white alike. Grays, however can blend in too much with bluer colors, so be careful there! Wearing white with these colors is going to look softer (think of snow) while a black suit will look colder (more like a storm.) These colors can be bold, mysterious and handsome.

The Cinderella Wedding
Today is all about bippity-boppity-you!

Your Inspiration: Cinderella

Every little girl wants to be a Disney Princess...why wait any longer? Your wedding is the perfect time to take hold of your childhood dream and make it a beautiful and unforgettable reality, Prince Charming and all!

"Every little girl wants to be a Disney Princess..."

You can't have a Cinderella wedding without the classic Cinderella ball gown. Cinderella's ball gown already had a wedding style flare to the bottom, complete with lovely corset top. Although Cinderella's dress had shoulders, you can use a more modern technique and get a strapless gown. Elbow-length gloves will make for a more true Disney feel. As long as the dress is light blue, has a form-fitting top and flares at the waist, you're going to look like Cinderella. Make sure you have an elegant hairstyle that goes with the flow of your gown...and seriously consider whether you should get glass slippers!

Light blue is a gorgeous color for a wedding ring! A gold band might not look great with light blue, but you can't miss with silver and diamonds. A ring like this can be completely decked out in ice, or have one or two simple stones and either way, it's going to look feminine and elegant. Perfect for Cinderella on her wedding day!

I know you have a thing against evil step sisters, but now isn't the time for vengeance on womankind! Make your bridesmaids look beautiful in baby blue! Going with a traditional white dress is a good opporutunity for your girls to wear blue instead of you. But if you're stuck on the idea of wearing the Cinderella dress, then there are alternatives. The girls can still wear blue, but wear more cropped, simple dresses so that the focus on your dress style (and its epic poofiness) leaves all eyes on you. White and other pastels (like yellow and pink) can also be used for dresses, accessories or flowers for the bridesmaids.

Since blue isn't a traditional color for a cake, fondant should be used in vast quantities. Since this is clearly the wedding for a princess, take this time to design a cake that's fit for one. Beautiful designs are a must. If you have elegant designs on a simplistic tiered cake, there isn't much need for gaudy accessories. And vanilla is the perfect flavor for these colors!

Light blue table decorations is going to mean crystal ware. If you'd rather stick with white, porcelain or china, try something lined with silver and painted with pastels. White and silver will carry your table decorations to victory with this build. And while you're at it, maybe you should procure a pumpkin to dress up like a carriage?

Just because you have blue as a color doesn't excuse you from not using beautiful roses! Roses are among the most lovely, elegant flowers in the world. They're timeless and romantic. A bouquet with fake roses is perfect. You can also use entirely real, white roses, and decorate the bouquet with baby blue. In this case, don't underestimate the power of sequence and sparkles!

"...don't underestimate the power of sequence and sparkles!"

Light blue is an excellent color that encompasses your femininity. Depending on your body type, make your night gown more or less flowing. For longer legs, try a fuller piece with a longer train. For a shorter torso, get something with a high slit near the waist to emphasize the shape of your body. Higher breasts will require a higher bust, and a longer torso or fuller breasts will have a deeper V shape.

The Glorious Morning Wedding
A shocking and elegant electric feel to fuel an unforgettable wedding!

Your Inspiration: The Royal Blue Morning Glory

When you're planning for this wedding, think of the most brilliant, blue morning glory you can! A royal, blue flower with a bright center. That's who you are: bright on the inside and elegant on the outside.

If you choose your color right, blue can be just as extravagant as purple. The color you want is a step down from true blue and a step up from midnight. This is royal blue. A corset top with a long, flowing train or bustle is perfect in this instance. Think French royalty. You aren't a princess; you're the queen! Silver or white lining and embroidery will give your dress that spectacular air of status that's perfect for your special day.

"You aren't a princess; you're the queen!"

When it comes down to the ring, think big, bold and beautiful. A ring like this can be pricey, but if you want this wedding then money isn't your concern - it's sophistication. Dark blue signifies wisdom, beauty and love. Couple that with amazing diamonds, and you're going to have one amazing ring.

If the queen wants to wear white, then leave the blue up to the ladies of the court! Since blue is a cool color, more focus is brought to the white that is the bride's dress. The same can be said for a blue dress with white bridesmaids.

Blue cake almost always requires fondant. Fondant is elegant though, so this isn't a bad thing. With fondant, you can get the royal, blue color you want for the candied flowers and make a beautiful, white cake with intricate designs most suitable for the royal palace!

If you're going to dress like a queen, then you need a hall fit for royalty! Don't hesitate to bust out the ruffles, curtains and fringes! Instead of a simple white tablecloth, give it some layers. Decorate with decadent dishes and tableware. China is a good call, and both gold and silver lining look great with the dishes.

There are a few lovely flowers to keep in mind for your bouquet...and surprisingly, all are naturally this blue! Morning glories are the perfect color, but wilt quickly. If you can manage to preserve them for the wedding, then they'd be great. Hydrangeas, pansies and hyacinths are also good for a royal bouquet. Because the color is so rich, you don't need a lot of giant flowers. If you want to go the route of big flowers, though, try white roses. They're simple and large, and can be cut with small, blue flowers.

Think of a beautiful, luxurious evening. What would you wear to impress your new hubby? If you're the queen, then treat him like a king. Get something appealing to him that you feel beautiful wearing. Lace and fringe are a must, and something like a matching garter or hair piece make for a well put-together outfit.

"If you're the queen, then treat him like a king."

Why should he choose blue?

Blue can be a classic male color. It's dark, handsome and even a little mysterious in the right tones. A navy suit can be very charming. A traditional tux with a hint of blue is also a good thing. Blue looks good on just about anyone, and no matter the tone or hue, it can be gender neutral and handsome.

Luxurious Lavender
Aristocratic and aromatic!

Your inspiration: Lavender

Lavender is a classically aromatic flower. It's used in countless perfumes, shampoos and scents. The smell of lavender is fragrant and feminine - the perfect inspiration for this wedding.

This is a good wedding for tall gals! Think of a stalk of lavender. It's long, layered and elegant while still being rather simplistic. This fishtail wedding dress is a great example. Without the fringe at the bottom or the tapered bow, the dress might be a bit bland. But the various unique cuts of the dress give it flavor. For your wedding, find something form-fitting and flowing.

A purple ring is really something to talk about! Especially lavender - what a unique and charming color! A silver band and a few diamonds are the perfect accessories to a lavender-colored ring. Amethyst is a good bet for the stone. Purple represents wisdom, sacrifice and mystery while the lightness of the hue typically emphasizes femininity.

The nice thing about lavender is that it naturally goes with white. If you choose a traditional, white dress, then your bridesmaids can wear the thematic lavender color. Lavender comes in quite a few different shades - some cooler and others having a touch of warm red undertones. Luckily, these colors go well together so you can have a layered look to an entire wedding ceremony and not just individual dresses or objects!

There is one scent (and flavor) that always goes well with lavender: vanilla! Since purple isn't really a food color (save a couple fruits,) an entire lavender cake might seem overwhelming. However, a white cake with splashes of purple decorations will come off as lovely and unique...and almost certainly vanilla, although with fondant, you can have any flavor!

The unique thing about this wedding is that you're taking a color and using warm and cool versions. Since purple is a combination of blue (a cool color) and red (a warm color,) you can employ both, or lean one way or the other. White is a good bet for dishes, although glassware is pretty, too. And with lavender, you can't overuse white.

"...with lavender, you can't overuse white."

Lavender is such a soft color, one that when used right, will make your skin glow. With a color as unique and sweet as this, you don't need to overcompensate with lace or ribbons. Choose something you feel comfortable in, something smooth and soft. The above lingerie is simple and pretty, and shows off the warmth of the woman's skin tone...which is exactly how you pull off a color like this!

Bam! Black Tulips!
A little crazy, a little sexy...a lotta gorgeous!

Your Inspiration: Elegant, Black Tulips

You're the kind of girl who grew up liking dolls and makeup...but not the same way that everyone else did. You were always a little darker. This build will accent all your best features while not making you settle for something overly pink or sparkly.

Your dress is going to be beautiful...and even a little artistic! This works best with curvy women with a classic hourglass figure. Firstly, icksnay on the apstrays! This is a sensual build, and showing off your shoulders is key. If you have the type of bust that doesn't like to support a strapless, then spaghetti straps or off-the-shoulder straps are good alternatives. Either way, show off your shoulders, girl! A lacy, fishtail dress is perfect because it has an elegant style and shows off your top and bottom curves. With a more simple dress, add accessories like bows or trim.

"Icksnay on the apstrays!"

Purple means art, mystery and creativity...perfect for the girl who can create beauty from anything. Purple rings can be very individualistic. Amethyst and garnet stones are lovely embedded in silver. For a more traditional ring, diamonds can also be set alongside the purple stones.

Shoulders! More shoulders, dang it! Think of yourself as being in the center of a stage whereas your bridesmaids are the theater's curtains. Celebrate your girls by giving them elegant, shoulderless dresses. If they're wearing more purple than you, then they can wear white accessories for balance. But if you're the one wearing the purple, your bridesmaids can always wear black with purple accessories.

An overly purple cake can come off as too much. A good cake strategy is to use bridal white and line it with the color of your choice. With blacks and purples, you're at risk of having a top-heavy cake, so make sure that the purple is on the bottom. If you have purple or black on the bottom, you can do virtually anything with the top. Dark purple may indicate that you have a chocolate cake - something rich and tasty! For a more shocking, creative technique, make the inside red velvet!

When it comes to your venue, warm, indoor lighting is best. A beige, white or coral room with yellow lighting will be warm and inviting while allowing you to use the dark colors you love so much. Black furniture is unique and clean, so that's always a plus. The type of dishes you use should depend on how fancy you want the wedding to be. For a more simplistic wedding, black and white are great colors with simple glassware. If you want something crazy-fancy, then try silver chalices and platters.

Black tulips aren't actually black - they're dark purple. A bouquet of black tulips by themselves is a unique and beautiful thing. You can get some white, non-flower filler, or a little white and black lace/ribbons to tie the bouquet together. Because of the richness of the texture of the flowers, a lot of filler and decoration isn't necessary; these flowers are beautiful alone.

Pale and dark skin look wonderful against deep purple. The best way to go about procuring purple lingerie is choosing a simple style in an elegant pattern. The girly baby-doll top and panties are a classic style, however, this one is covered in ribbons and lace to give it that spectacularly feminine edge!

"...a simple style in an elegant pattern."

Why should he choose purple?

Purple is a dark, mysterious and handsome color. It's clean and simple while still remaining unique in its own way. All a guy needs is a purple tie or a dyed carnation with the tux of his choice. For lighter choices, black and white tuxedos look amazing with a dash of lavender. Darker purple looks excellent against solid black. For real, royal purple, try gray and you'll be surprised as to how charming it looks! Purple flowers also don't tend to have as many ruffled petals as white or pink ones, making the floral choices for men typically more tolerable.

The Rose-Quartz Ritual
Sweeter than sugar (and artificial sweeteners)

Your Inspiration: Rose-Quartz

You're the kind of girl who took home injured animals and nursed them back to health as a kid. You've always been known to be kind, compassionate and loving. This is how you want your marriage to be, too. The rose-quartz wedding isn't just for looks - it's a reflection of the romance you want to share with your new husband.

Think traditional. Then think, massive renovations! Take the first image of a gaudy 80s' wedding dress that comes to mind. Dye it pink, cut off the shoulders, tighten the bust and bedazzle it. Add a few layers, maybe a train to the bottom, and there's your wedding dress - new, improved and beautiful!

Rose quartz is a lovely stone. It's very feminine and beautiful - like the bride to be. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.

When you picture how you want your bridesmaids to look, think of Tamera Mowry's wedding. The star of Sister Sister rocks this color! To her left (your right) is her twin sister, Tia, wearing the perfect bridesmaid dress. All of these dresses are elegant, feminine and beautiful. They all emphasize the natural curves of the women and show an appropriate amount of skin. Some are strapless, some are single-shouldered, and others cover the entire chest - you can really let your bridesmaids customize their dresses to fit their figures with such a unique color!

"...let your bridesmaids customize their dresses to fit their figures..."

When you have frosting and cake that can be colored naturally or artificually (like red or pink frosting, etc) you don't typically need fondant. This is the exception. Fondant creates a beautiful, moldable layer that's required of really intricate cakes with embossed layers. With such a girly theme, use fondant to your advantage by making your cake look like it has lace, ruffles or ridges. Add a couple flowers and a splash of color, and you'll have one gorgeous cake! Strawberry or vanilla are perfect flavors to accompany the light colors.

This isn't supposed to sound bad, but it sorta does no matter how it's put: think of an old lady's house when you're decorating your table. What that means is this: bust out the gold-rimmed china, get the fancy dishes, decorate with a nice tablecloth, and make the room vibrant and warm for all the guests. This is an easy task for someone as compassionate as the rose-quartz bride, but when all else fails, think...what would Grandma do? With warm lights and pink everywhere, old-school grannies got it done right!

"...when all else fails, think...what would Grandma do?"

Never underestimate the natural beauty of roses. With the rose-quartz build, finding delightful flowers is a must. With some other builds, specifically darker ones, fake flowers are a better bet. But this is such a vibrant and natural color that not only should you use real, fresh flowers...you should get the best smelling flowers! Decorate your bouquet with a little white or beige filler on top of some pink and off-white roses and it's a home run.

Although you're in it for the love, it doesn't hurt to be a little lustful from time to time. Get a piece of lingerie that's pretty, but even a bit daring for your tastes. Maybe add some high heels or cute panties to a standard baby doll top, or wear your veil during the evening events.

Hot Pink Mayhem!
"This one's for the girls" -Shania Twain

Your Inspiration: Barbie!

You don't have to like Barbie for this build...though admittedly, it helps. This build is for every woman who wants to not only wear pink, but embrace it and look hot doing so!

The dress is the key to this wedding. Since this wedding is definitely a bride's wedding, really splurge on the dress (or at least take the time to find a dress that's perfect as well as affordable.) A V-neck top will go marvelously with puffy sleeves and sharp jewelry (like the necklace and earrings as shown above.) The rounded V-neck and frilly bustle are great for curvy women. Generally with pink, you can also pull off pink makeup whereas some colors are best blended with others. It's simple: pink it up!

When you think "pink wedding ring," the first thing that comes to mind is probably a pink stone. But why not a pink band? If pink is something that you love living with, then really commit! Get something unique and beautiful that you love to look at! Besides, you can plant a big, fat diamond right in the middle!

If white's more your style but you still want a hot, smokin' wedding, then pawn off the pink to your girls. For contrast, make their dresses have one fewer ruffle for every ruffle your dress has. Since they're going to be wearing hot colors, your focus is going to be on the size and material of your dress. Simple, strapless (or thin-strapped) hot pink dresses work perfectly fine. For that extra touch of girlishness, white or light pink shoes, make up and flowers work great!

Fondant, fondant, fondant! Do not not use fondant! With fondant, you can do anything you darn well please, and if you want a pink cake, by golly you'll have a pink cake! Go crazy, bride. Make your cake sparkle, or plant a big, fat candy jewel at the top. Or if this is a little much, just add some hot pink edible fondant ribbon to a bridal-white cake.

"...if you want a pink cake, by golly you'll have a pink cake!"

Hot pink, unlike some colors, is good for both indoor and outdoor venues. If the hot pink is outdoors, it looks good because pink is a natural color. Even if your pink is neon, it's going to look great against spring or summer trees (probably not so good for the later seasons.) Indoors, try decorating primarily with white and lighting the room ablaze with colored lighting. Then, glitterfy everything! Glassware is good for tables, and so is anything white and silky.

There are a few flowers that naturally come in hot pink (otherwise, spray paint and glitter work great.) Carnations and roses are a must. Many stores will also dye pink carnations so that you can have real flowers in the pink that matches your wedding. The only downfall is that hot pink is a spring and summer wedding color, and if the weather is too hot, dyed plants can wilt quickly (which is why in hot weather you use spray painted, fake flowers.) Decorate with some white filler and rhinestones for that extra sparkle!

One thing that you don't need is an overly complicated negligee. Hot pink is a lot by itself. Just get something that you're comfortable in, and your personality will highlight the rest. You're a fun-loving, bubbly person! Let it show the night of your wedding!

Why should he choose pink?

Let's be honest: while some men just love pink, he's probably doing this for you - don't scorn a gift! Pink is so much fun, just go with it! But if your guy is gonna wear pink, throw out any and all fear of men looking girly in pink; it's a myth! Pink (especially pastel pink) is a great spring and early summer color for men. Especially when used with the right darker colors. Firstly, a black and white tuxedo with a splash of pale pink is terribly charming. Adding white only helps. Next, darker, true colors like navy blue look fantastic with pink as well. Since pink is a tropical color, you can also get away with using beige, green or orange. Pink is so much more masculine and versatile than one would think. Just think sunsets; are sunsets girly? No! They're lovely and natural! Although in hindsight that does sound a bit silly...

"...throw out any and all fear of men looking girly in pink; it's a myth!"

ThRainbow Wedding (So Intense)
Just one thematic color? Puh-leese!

Your Inspiration: Rainbows!

You've seen bright orange, neon yellow and hot pink. But none have quite as much character as the extravagant, all-out rainbow-themed wedding! You get your white dress, your groom gets the black and white tux, and all the while, you'll have the most poppin' wedding in history!

Ah, the perfect bridal dress. A snug, white top that highlights every curve and asset. A fit waist and flared bottom. A bustling train. And...colors! Vibrant, brilliant colors like Rainbow Fish! Why not? This is your wedding! Own it, girl! If you like color, put some darn color in that dress!

"This is your wedding! Own it, girl!"

The good news about the ring is that there are so many places you can go with it. You can take any gemstones you love and put them together. As long as they're in order of the visible spectrum, they'll go together. The bad news is that this might be an expensive ring, especially if you add diamonds. However, it may also be cheaper than normal if you don't use diamonds. With colors, you can get cheaper stones that still hold up great and look fabulous.

The coolest thing about a rainbow wedding is that you and your bridesmaids can be colorful while all the attention is still on you. This is because while you're wearing white or rainbows, your bridesmaids can wear individual colors. You get the full spectrum - they're each color. The perfect rainbow of bridesmaids!

Your best friends are going to be the layers of your cake. When you use layers for a colorful cake, you can fit several colors inside. Make sure your cake is supported alright though - don't want it falling over in the middle of the ceremony! A white outside is great for a colorful, rainbow interior. And the more simple the outside, the more surprised your guests will be when they see how bright the inside of your cake is! Of course if the exterior is rainbow, you can have the inside be chocolate. Everyone loves chocolate!

A fun way to decorate without making everything look all-over-the-place is by decorating table by table, color by color. Color coding things also makes it easier for seating charts and placing people or items in large weddings. It's a great way to keep track of things while being able to use the colors on the tables themselves. And any dinnerware looks awesome with so many colors.

It's likely that you'll have a fake bouquet. But that's okay, because what you can't get in scent or texture you can make up for in color. Neon and electric colors you can't find naturally can be created with bright paint.

The night of your wedding should be fun and unforgettable...funforgettable! (Oh gosh that was awful.) Try something cute - like this set of adorable, rainbow panties. Even though they're seemingly regular lady-briefs, their bright rainbow butt makes for a funforgettable night (yeah I said it!)

Why should he choose rainbow?

Rainbow Groomsmen Whimsical Rainbow Wedding: Lisa + Tien

There are three reasons to choose rainbow. Reason 1: you and your future hubby like rainbows! Who doesn't? They're fun and colorful, albeit, overwhelming as a party theme if done incorrectly. Reason 2: you can't decide between like five different colors. This way, the bridesmaids and groomsmen can wear individual colors. Line them up in rainbow order and they'll look great! And reason 3: revenge. Yep, you heard right. Does your man have an ongoing bet with the guy who will likely be his best man? Slap a pink suit on him or make him wear polka dots. Your man gets a laugh, you both have a funny memory to share, and you get the rainbow wedding you want.
